We ask you to remember the needy each month when you kneel for the Lord's Supper with a monetary gift to help the needy around the corner and around the world.
Wesley UMC Bread Basket
For 2012, we are partnering with our sister church, Wesley U.M.C., to provide a much-needed helping hand for their food pantry as they work to fill a critical need in our community. On the first Sunday of each month, you are invited to bring items or a monetary donation to support the food pantry. Non-perishable food items; e.g., coffee, breakfast cereal, granola bars, canned tuna, chicken, soup, fruit, and other canned goods, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter.
Bethlehem House
Grace will continue participating in the Adopt-A-Meal program at Bethlehem House which provides meals for the residence and friends of Bethlehem House. This year, we will coordinate and serve six meals. For more information on Bethlehem House, please go to www.bethlehemhouse.net.
Bigelow Schools
Bigelow schools have long been an area of committed support by Grace. We work closely with the school counselor, addressing their needs as they arise, and we will continue our annual giving to the Angel Tree children at Christmas.
Soaring Wings
Soaring Wings Ranch provides a permanent Christ- centered home for children who have been the victims of unfortunate circumstances and just need a chance. During 2012 we will support their homes making casseroles for the families as well as other needs as they arise including participation in the Soaring Wings Half Marathon. Faulkner Co. Jail & Detention Center
In 2012, Grace has set a goal of providing 100 Bibles and 100 reading glasses for use by the inmates. Monetary donations will be accepted to purchase new Bibles that meet the specific requirements outlined by the Detention Center.
Habitat For Humanity – Apostle Build
Grace will participate in the next Apostle Build committing to our portion of the build of $1500 as well as providing workers and food during the build.
