Our Mission Grace United Methodist Church exists in order to revive believers, reach friends, and renew communities through an experience of God's grace.
Our Vision To know Jesus and make Jesus known, so that people may be saved, equipped, and served.
What We Believe Grace is part of the United Methodist Church, an international connection of over 11 million members worldwide, and we are part of a connection of about 140,000 members in Arkansas. We are also strongly committed to the “kingdom of God,” that is, working with other denominations by focusing on the beliefs we hold in common. Our History Grace United Methodist Church was a new church start in 1993 with roots at UCA and Hendrix, and has been in its current location in West Conway since 1996. The United Methodist Church is a denomination with roots in the Church of England. John Wesley, a minister in England, believed strongly that the church should be reaching people inside and outside of the building, through study and service. That passion for study and service took hold in America as it formed, and the Methodist movement grew rapidly. That same passion is still alive in the Methodist movement today. We focus on six areas of ministry: Outreach, Connecting, Celebrating, Equipping, Caring, and Supporting. All of these help us become a community of Grace as we seek to make followers of Jesus Christ.
Policies and Leadership Our church is overseen by a Vision Team, which is comprised of eight people nominated by our church membership and elected in our annual meeting (called the Charge Conference). Everyone is welcome to attend any of our Vision Team meetings. The Vision Team works to be very transparent, and only holds closed meetings if dealing with an individual's personal information or similar confidential matter.
